Book 3 in the USA Today Bestselling McMaster the Disaster series.
Josie's back and she's getting married!
Except, how is she supposed to plan a wedding when her mother and her best friend Mattie both think they're the designated wedding planner, and none of their ideas are remotely similar? Mom wants super-traditional and Mattie wants... well, the complete opposite.
And that's not all Josie has to deal with. The gossip hounds are as invasive as ever; setting up polls on everything from what shoes she'll wear to when the divorce will be! Can't a girl at least get married first?
But the marriage is threatened when the Disaster Diary provides Josie with an opportunity of a lifetime and the real question becomes with the stakes so high, is Josie willing to risk it all and take a chance on herself?
The Wedding Wager McMaster the Disaster Book 3 eBook Rachel Astor
In this third installment, Josie finally gets to marry Jake. But it takes a lot of effort to get her there. She can't decide who should plan her wedding, her mother or Mattie, so she never sets the record straight and has them both planning completely different weddings. She struggles with including Jake in big life decisions, and she ends up befriending a paparazzi and spilling her friends' secrets. Josie wouldn't be Josie without a bit of disaster.I thought this was a cute ending to the trilogy. Same as with the other books, there were some editing problems, but overall the story was cute. There were times when I got frustrated with Josie for not being honest with Mattie or her mother and picking one person to plan the wedding, but it was nothing that detracted too much from the story. Josie is designed to be a character who is frustrating because she is just like a real person.
This was a light and quick read that I enjoyed. If you are already a reader of the others, then you'll definitely want to pick this one up. If not, I would suggest starting with the first one, but I think it's a cute trilogy that's worth reading.

The Wedding Wager McMaster the Disaster Book 3 eBook Rachel Astor Reviews
I got this book based on the wedding cake and the word wedding. I love weddings! Upon reading the first few lines, I was hooked. The author was incredibly humorous and the next thing I knew I was done with the book. At first I felt ripped off, because I'm all about happy endings, but then I figured I would just have to read the second book to keep going on what happens next.
Josie McMaster was a disaster waiting to happen. Of course we could all relate to her as we've all had something embarrassing happen to us just at that monumental moment!
The Wedding Wager was a book that I read strictly for entertainment purposes and it did definitely do that!
After a great book 1 and a slightly disappointing book 2, I wasn't sure what to expect for book 3. I needn't have worried, though. The Wedding Wager was a very good conclusion to the McMaster the Disaster series.
If you have read the first two books, you definitely should see it through to the predictable but delightful end. I will miss Josie, Jake, and Mattie.
Read ALL the books in the Josie McMaster the Disaster series - one right after the other. Sweet, heartwrenching, and hilarious by turns,(OMG, I laughed SO hard) this is one of the most memorable novels that I have read. Buy it, download it, read it and ENJOY! In case you haven't noticed, I LOVE IT!! Thank you, Rachel Astor, for creating this jewel for us to delight us.

The first book on the series was really funny, in this one I just wanted to slap Josie a few times and tell her to get over-herself since she got very annoying even when trying to be mature.
Rachel Astor wrote the best romance series I ever purchased. I laughed, cried, got pissed off with the characters and fell back in love with them numerous time. I enjoyed following as McMaster struggled with pleasing her mom and BFF as they planned her wedding along with her foolish mistakes. Even though this character indeed is a disaster I loved just the same. My heart was broken when her relationships with her roommate and fiancé fell apart almost gave up on reading the novel but I stuck it through and was happy that I did. This series belongs on the BIG SCREEN whoever buys the rights to this novel will make millions in the box office.
to a non-fairy tale fairy tale. Rachel Astor fully fleshes out her characters so you can see them as real people. Any one of them could be your next door neighbor. The reader can relate to and become invested in the characters.
I really enjoyed this last installment in the McMaster series and wish there were more.
I finished this book fairly quickly too which was nice.
I felt a connection to Josie’s character since I tend to be a disaster myself. I knew how it felt to go though the embarrassing moments like she did. Although, I don’t know what it’s like to date a movie star (LOL).
In this third book, Josie is finally getting married!! She does find herself in a bit of a bind when both her mother and her best friend Mattie believe they are the designated wedding planner. Her mom is super traditional where as Mattie is wild and unique.
The marriage faces a bump in the road when Josie’s “Disaster Diary” provides her the opportunity of a lifetime and Jake isn’t too crazy about it.
